It also contains low levels of carbon and varying amounts of silicon and manganese. This ferritic stainless steel offers exceptional resistance to scaling at elevated temperatures, up to 1100°C. Mechanically, SS 446 provides moderate strength with a tensile strength of around 485 MPa and a yield strength of 275 MPa. Its hardness ranges from 200 to 260 HB, ensuring durability and reliability in demanding industrial applications.
