This alloy is non-heat-treatable and is recognized for its excellent corrosion resistance, high thermal conductivity, and good formability. The mechanical properties typically feature a tensile strength of 125–165 MPa and a yield strength of 85–120 MPa, with elongation between 10–20%, depending on the temper. Aluminium 8011 is often available in H14, H18, or O temper and maintains stability during fabrication processes like rolling, slitting, and deep drawing, making it incredibly versatile.
