S420MC is a high-strength, low-alloy steel containing approximately 0.12–0.20% carbon, 1.40–1.70% manganese, small amounts of silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, and copper. This steel is designed for excellent formability and superior strength. The tensile strength of S420MC ranges from 550 to 700 MPa, with a yield strength of 420 MPa. Elongation at break is typically around 20%.
