Aluminium 7075 Angle is a robust, heat-treatable alloy primarily made up of aluminium, containing 5.6–6.1% zinc, 2.1–2.5% magnesium, and 1.2–1.6% copper, along with small amounts of chromium and iron. It stands out as one of the strongest aluminium alloys, boasting a tensile strength of 490–560 MPa and a yield strength of 430–480 MPa, depending on the temper (usually T6 or T651). While it’s incredibly strong, it also maintains good fatigue resistance. However, its corrosion resistance isn’t as high as that of other aluminium alloys, so protective coatings are often applied. It excels in structural and aerospace applications.
